A person's appearances won't change but the attitude changes.
Drastically!
Good. Or better.
Bad. Or worse.

*sigh*

& there's such things as...
Karma.
What goes around comes all the way back around.
Everything happens for a reason.

The ups & downs of life.

Its killing me softly,
But im being a strong willed person right now.
Just gotta be patient,
Cause everything happens for a reason,
&I strongly believe in karma.
What goes around comes all the way back around.
Hence, patience is virtue.

As much as I love you
As much as I need you
And I can't stand you
Must everything you do make me wanna smile
Can I not like you for awhile?
No

But you won't let me
You upset me girl
And then you kiss my lips
All of a sudden I forget that I was upset
Can't remember what you did

But I hate it...
You know exactly what to do
So that I can't stay mad at you
For too long that's wrong

But I hate it...
You know exactly how to touch
So that I don't want to fuss and fight no more
Said I despise that I adore you

And I hate how much I love you boy
I can't stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you boy
But I just can't let you go
And I hate that I love you so

You completely know the power that you have
The only one makes me laugh

Said it's not fair
How you take advantage of the fact
That I love you beyond the reason why
And it just ain't right

And I hate how much I love you girl
I can't stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you girl
But I just can't let you go
But I hate that I love you so

One of these days maybe your magic won't affect me
And your kiss won't make me weak
But no one in this world knows me the way you know me
So you'll probably always have a spell on me...

As much I love you
As much as I need you
As much I love you
As much as I need you

And I hate that I love you so
And I hate how much I love you boy
I can't stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you boy
But I just can't let you go
And I hate that I love you so

And I hate that I love you so..

You know nothing come easy, you gotta try real real hard,
I tried hard...
But I guess I gotta try harder.

I try so hard,
Can't seem to get away from misery,
Man I try so hard,
Will always be a victim of these streets,
It ain't my fault cause I...
Tried to get away but trouble follows me,
Still I try so hard,
Hoping one day you'll come and rescue me,
But until then,
I'll be posted up right here rain sleet hail snow,
But until then...
I'll be posted up right here with my heat getting dough.

First let me explain that I'm just a black man,
And I come from the darkside,
So I'm having a hard time staying on track man my mind be racing,
And I don't even know what I'm chasin' yet I been in and out of relationships,
I'm starting to see thats it's me where the complications at,
But I'm laying back praying that,
You can't have piece of mind of me, I thought I was right but really I'm wrong,
In the end I was to blind to see,
I was in the fast lane chasin' my dream,
And then it seem when the fame and cash came they just got me going crazy lately,
Lately, lately I been so faded
Trying to erase it but I cant cause the drama just goes greater and I been in so many collisions from putting shit up till later.

I try so hard,
Can't seem to get away from misery,
Man I try so hard,
Will always be a victim of these streets,
It ain't my fault cause I...
Tried to get away but trouble follows me,
And still I try so hard,
Hoping one day you'll come and rescue me,
But until then,
I'll be posted up right here rain sleet hail snow,
But until then...
I'll be posted up right here with my heat getting dough.

It's like I'm taking 5 steps forward and 10 steps back,
Trying to get ahead of the game,
But I can't seem to get it on track,
And I keep running away from the ones that say they love me the most how could I create the distance when it's suppose to be close and uh,
I just don't know but I be out here fighting demons and,
It's like a curse that I can't shake this part of Cleveland and God,
Would you help me?
And stop this pain I keep inflicting on my family hustling gambling, Tricking and scamming scrambling and losing sight of what I'm suppose to be handling,
It's hard to manage cause everyday's a challenge and man I'm slipping
can't lose my balance I'm trying not to panic.

I try so hard,
Can't seem to get away from misery,
Man I try so hard,
Will always be a victim of these streets,
It ain't my fault cause I...
Tried to get away but trouble follows me,
And still I try so hard,
Hoping one day you'll come and rescue me but until then,
I'll be posted up right here rain sleet hail snow,
But until then...
I'll be posted up right here with my heat getting dough.

I see thangs won't change I'm stuck in the game as soon as I get out it keeps pulling me back mayne got me doin' dirty dirt so used to this hustlin' money that I don't understand how,
9 to 5 work studied on the streets,
Hustlers know what I mean hustlers balling in force,
I'm tryna make that major league so we never leave never,
Til' the sun came up gotta get it,
Nope no leaving no rush today games they play gotta go hard to get what u put in if you fall off then it's all on you gotta watch what you sign to try so hard but I won't play the fool.

I try so hard,
Can't seem to get away from misery,
Man I try so hard,
Will always be a victim of these streets,
It ain't my fault cause I...
Tried to get away but trouble follows me,
And still I try so hard
Hoping one day you'll come and rescue me,
But until then,
I'll be posted up right here rain sleet hail snow,
But until then...
I'll be posted up right here with my heat getting dough.

Who comes first, you or your relationship? Although answering "the relationship" may sound honorable and based on a deep level of love and commitment, its an unhealthy and destructive way to live. It is only when you can honor and love yourself first, that the relationship can be a truly loving one and not one based on need, dependency, fear, or insecurities. When each partner comes to the relationship whole, the relationship becomes an enhancement of your life and not life itself.

Most of you have flown on an airplane. Have you ever wondered why they tell you to put your OWN mask on first, before you help your child? Seems kinda selfish, doesn't it? I mean, we've been taught that the ultimate in love is self sacrifice, right? Why do these airlines tell us to save ourselves first?!? There’s a practical reason they instruct you to do this. Think about it. How can you help someone when you're unconscious or struggling for breath?

Love is similar to that air mask. You can't fully love another unless you love yourself FIRST. Strap that air mask on good and tight, and you can love an endless amount. If you don't love yourself first, you have no love to give. If you truly put yourself first in love, nurture yourself, honor what you want, and make YOUR happiness the number one priority, you are better equipped to love others. Love deeper. We love others to the degree we love ourselves.

And as I've said, part of loving one self is accepting (being okay with) who we are. Consequently, we love to the degree we're happy. While we are unhappy and attending to our fears, we are not loving. The self is always crying out for acceptance. When we deny ourselves that acceptance, life gets twisted. Our attention gets sucked into a void inside ourselves, leaving nothing left to give to another.

Throughout the history of mankind, we as a world culture have made love out to be mysterious, complex, difficult, and undefinable. It's the subject of endless poems and literary works. There is an enormous amount of material available out there about love, a lot of it contradictory.

We've been given the impression that to define love is near to impossible. Maybe theres a fear that if we define it, it would somehow be less powerful...less impactful...less exhilarating. Maybe we like the mystery of it. But is it really that complicated? Perhaps the complications surrounding love come from all "stuff" we add on to this powerful emotion. Lets drop all the baggage surrounding relationships and define what it is we are experiencing in the moment of love.

Basic Components of Love
What do you feel when you love someone? If distilled down to it's core components, what would those be? Yes, love is an emotion, a feeling, a wanting, and a “being”. We know it feels good, but what specific feelings, wantings, and beings are present when we feel love? Here are the common denominators of love...

Love is Accepting
Acceptance is labeling someone as "okay" and having no particular desire to change them. Who they are is perfectly fine with you. You pose no condition on whether you will love them or not. This is call unconditional love. When your love IS conditional, the moment they step outside your set of conditions, love evaporates.

Love is Appreciating
Appreciation is one step beyond acceptance. Its when your focus is on what you like about another. We look at them and feel this sweeping appreciation for who they are, their joy, their insights, their humor, their companionship, etc. When someone says they are "in love" with another, they mean their appreciation is so enormous for this person that it consumes their every thought.

Love is Wanting Another to Feel Good
We want those we love to be happy, safe, healthy, and fulfilled. We want them to feel good in all ways, physically, mentally and emotionally.

How Do We Express Love?
We don't always express our love. Love is a feeling and the expression of that feeling is separate. It's an action. There's a practical reason we don't always express our love for another. It's an issue of TIME. We only have 24 hours in a day (if you make it up that way). If the expression of love was a core ingredient to love, we would have to be stingy with who we loved, because there simply wouldn’t be enough time to demonstrate our love for everyone! If you see the distinction between the feeling and the expression, you can then love endless numbers of people.

Attention
Love expressed is when you give your attention, your time, your focus to someone. Webster defines attention as “the giving of one’s mind to something."
There are many ways in which we give our attention to another. We use our five senses. Our ears to listen. Being completely present with the one who is speaking. Our eyes, watching another, undivided attention. Tasting/smelling? (I’ll let you figure that one out). Touching, giving a hug, holding a hand, a caress, or sexual expression. How you express your love depends on the type of relationship.

Types of relationships
We establish relationships with many different types of people. Our family members, neighbors, co-workers, friends, spouses, significant others, etc. We've been taught that the love is different depending on who we're loving. We even have different names for it such as Agape for spiritual love and Eros for sexual love.

The emotion of love is the same regardless of who you feel it for. You want them to be happy, you accept them as they are, and you appreciate some aspect(s) about them. So if love is the same, why does it feel so different depending on who you love?

The distinctions in the loving experience are apparent when we look at how we express our love. The emotions are the same, but how we express and the degree in which we express it are different depending on who we are loving. You may want to spend more time with your friends than your family members. You might enjoy different activities with your co-workers than you do with your spouse.

When and how we express love is determined by preferences. You may prefer to spend more time with someone who is outgoing, rather than quiet, or more serious rather than silly. You may be more physically attracted to someone who is short rather than tall, or older rather than younger. There are an endless number of qualities that we might prefer over others. And those preferred qualities determines who, when, how, and to what degree we express our love.

Romantic relationships, since this seems to be the area of most interest and concern. This is not surprising since these are the people who we're choosing to share most of our lives.

What is Romantic Love?
A romantic relationship is one where you have a deep feeling of connection to the other person. You accept them as they are, want them to feel good, and deeply appreciate who they are. They fit in with most of your preferences in a life partner, i.e.; personality, life goals, beliefs and value systems, etc. One of the ways you desire to express your love for them through your sexuality. Sex is the one key element that distinguishes a romantic relationship from all other types.

When it comes to pain surrounding love, we're more likely referring to the "add-ons" of love. The love baggage, we might call it. For some reason, many people assume negative emotions are a part or element of love. But experientially we know this isn't true.

Love is not painful, it feels incredible. The pain and hurt we feel doesn’t come from love, it comes from our doubts, fears, anxiety, perceived rejections, broken trusts, anger, jealousy, envy, etc. So why do we as a culture lump all those other feelings in with love?

Perhaps its because we feel these uncomfortable emotions most often in association with our love relationships. Our primary relationships are important to us, so we assume these doubts and fears are all part of the loving experience. But is this really true?

When we are fearful, angry, anxious, unhappy, or jealous, are we truly experiencing a state of love? They sure feel different, don't they? Love feels warm, open, joyous and filled with a deep sense of appreciation. Pain steps into a love relationship when you switch it from a "wanted relationship," into a "needed relationship." You don't NEED any one relationship. Want? Yes. Need? No.

If you go into a relationship not feeling terribly good about yourself, you're more likely to become dependent on your partner to help you feel good about yourself. If we felt empty before they appeared in our lives, we fear the emptiness returning if they leave, so their staying with us becomes paramount. That dependency can create all kinds of fear and unhappiness when there's a perceived threat to you staying together.

If we aren't giving ourselves the acceptance we crave, we look to those around us to provide it for us. Again, none of this has a thing to do with the love you feel, but everything to do with the fear you feel.

If you really want to remove the love baggage of fear and unhappiness, the first step is to improve your self awareness and self acceptance.

There are some feelings we have when infatuated that we don't have when we’re feeling love. Some of the “symptoms” of infatuation are; feelings of panic, uncertainty, overpowering lust, feverish excitement, impatience, and/or jealously.

When infatuated, we are thrilled, but not happy, wanting to trust, yet suspicious. There are lingering, nagging doubts about our “partner in infatuation” and their love for us. We're miserable when they're away, almost like we're not complete unless we're with them. Its a rush and its intense. Its difficult to concentrate. And most infatuation relationships have a high degree of sexual charge around them. Somehow being with them is not complete unless in ends in some type of sexual encounter.

Do any of these “symptoms” resemble feelings of love? Hardly. So why do we become infatuated? Where does it come from? Perhaps it’s biological.

When infatuated we experience a surge of dopamine that rushes through the brain causing us to feel good. Norepinephrine flows through the brain stimulating production of adrenaline (pounding heart). Phenylethalimine (found in chocolate) creates a feeling of bliss. Irrational romantic sentiments may be caused by oxytocin, a primary sexual arousal hormone that signals orgasm and feelings of emotional attachment. Together these chemicals sometimes override the brain activity that governs logic.

The body can build up tolerances to these chemicals so it takes more of the substance to get that special feeling of infatuation. People who jump from relationship to relationship may be craving the intoxicating effects of these substances and may be "infatuation junkies".

When the chemical flood dries up, the relationship either moves into a loving romantic one or there is disillusionment, and the relationship ends.

Truth is the expression of love and is therefore always the necessary healing and loving action.

Mother always said, "The truth hurts." To this homily we would now add, "The truth heals." Love has taught us to be extremists for the truth. It is the surest path out of the old relationship-sabotaging belief systems. Many of us were taught that telling the truth is sometimes not being kind or loving, that it can separate us from what we want most, but telling the truth only separates us from our lies and our confused, limited self-images. Sure, the truth may hurt sometimes, but it never wounds the way a lie or half-truth can.

Most of us were taught to avoid pain at all costs, so it is a challenge to stand in our truth, knowing that it may seem to hurt a friend or lover or a member of our family. But when we don't tell the truth, it drives an invisible wedge between us and our lovers. If the goal is to stay within the awareness of love, the truth must be practiced continuously. Our greatest fear is that the truth will be abhorrent to our lover and we will end up alone. The reality is that the longer we are together, the more we practice the truth, the more trust develops and the easier the truth becomes. When we hide nothing, we can give everything.

Although our issues and responses were different, what we learned had an enormous impact for each of us. I think we really understood, for the first time, how different our lives - and the world - would be if we could all operate out of a state of truth and love.

Within a loving context it becomes safe to reveal one's own truth. In retrospect we could see that suppressing truth limited our ability to love one another. And when we limit our love, we truly limit our lives.

As we experienced what it was really like to be in truth, love, and alignment, we became painfully aware of just how rare such moments are. Yet it was incredibly energizing to realize that we all have the potential to live in such a state. It is within our power, each moment, to choose truth over lies and love over fear.

Honesty can be tough but it's necessary if you want a close intimate relationship.
Because, love is nothing without truth.

Heroes is an American science fiction drama television series, created by Tim Kring. The show tells the story of several people who "thought they were like everyone else... until they woke with incredible abilities" such as telepathy, time travel and flight. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind. The series follows the writing style of American comics with short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Even with small story arcs that move the story forward, Kring said, "we have talked about where the show goes up to five seasons".

Season 2 will be premiered in the month of September. Tim Kring said, "Volume One comes to a conclusion at the end of episode 23, and Volume Two starts with the opening of season two. And Volume Two is a different story. We could have new people and new storylines and new ideas and new threats and new bad guys and new heroes. So I would prepare the audience for that idea, that it’s not just a continuing serialized storyline about only these people. It’s a little more the 24 model than the Lost model."

The Game is from the birthplace of Gangsta' Rap, Compton, CA. But this is a new, different Westside story, one that joins with the Eastside while paying respects to rap's hardcore pioneers of the '80s, NWA. The Game, a former gangbanger who turned to rap after being shot five times and left for dead, is about peace not war. Working closely with Dr. Dre on his debut album; This Game is for real.

The Documentary, (Aftermath/G Unit/Interscope), the debut album from The Game (a/k/a Jayceon Taylor), announces the arrival of the most significant West Coast gangsta rapper since Snoop Dogg more than a decade earlier. With guest spots from 50 Cent, Nate Dogg and several others, as well as producers from Dr. Dre to Kanye West to Just Blaze and tracks such as "Like Father Like Son," "Church For Thugs," "Dreams," "Where I'm From" and "Westside Story," The Documentary resurrects the truth, spirit and hope of hardcore rap.

"A lot of rap today is bubblegum bullshit that says nothing and means nothing to anybody living in the 'hood," says the 24-year-old with a tattoo of NWA's Eazy-E on his right forearm. "I'm not knocking anybody's hustle but I can't feel what's in hip-hop today. Everybody's rapping but they're not saying anything. NWA, Biggie, 2Pac, Snoop and Jay-Z all had something to say then Biggie, Pac and Eazy died and it was devastating. We almost let rap die until the Great White Hype (Eminem) saved hip-hop and 50 dropped the gangsta wake-up call. I feel like it's my turn now and I can fill the shoes."

What all three have in common is the guiding hand of Dr. Dre, Compton's own and one of the founding members of NWA. "The best moment I've had in rap was walking into his studio in 2002 and Dre saying he heard a mix tape of my freestyles and wanted to sign me," says Game. "Trying to act cool? I was frozen. I'm still starstruck with Dre. He's been almost 20 years at the top. That I get to soak up the game from a musical genius like him gives me a 20-year head start on everybody else. He's like the father I never had. Everything about a father throwing a baseball to his son in the suburbs, that's what NWA was to me. They were the only role models I had besides Michael Jordan. Eazy was the father of hardcore and I don't understand why he only gets honorable mention when people talk about rap."

Game's beloved grandmother nicknamed him Game because he was always game for anything--basketball, running track, riding bikes, playing in the streets. Family problems related to his father caused him to be placed in a foster home from the third grade to the ninth grade. "My childhood was fucked up but it wasn't really that different from anyone else who lived in the 'hood," he says. Soon after he was returned to his mother, one of his older brothers, Jevon, was shot and killed. The Game then started running behind another older brother, Big Fase 100, who had been taken in by the Cedar Block Piru Bloods, even though they grew up in a Crip neighborhood called Santana Block on Compton's East Side.

Fase tried to keep him away from thuggin' but, once it became clear that Game was going to be there, his brother was determined to teach him how to survive on the streets. Then, after graduating high school in 1999, an older adopted brother, Charles, was shot and killed. "People don't know what type of toll that takes on your life," he says. "Especially being young and just fresh out in the world." A one-time star shooting guard for Compton High School who was offered scholarships to various colleges, the 6-foot-4 Game now started gangbangin' hard--car thefts, drug dealing and shootings. Finding him too much to handle, his mother kicked him out of her house.

In 2000, The Game and his brother moved into the projects in a nearby city and took over its drug trade. Their success attracted rivals. Late on the night of October 1, 2001, Game was alone in their apartment when there was a knock on the door. Game became victim to a home invasion. "That was the biggest learning experience ever in my life. This sounds crazy but I appreciate that happening to me, because I'd probably be dead if it didn't. Anybody who gets shot and survives feels lucky. On the other hand I went through so much already that I felt somebody owed me. Now I could live out my dreams."

He sent his brother to buy new copies of all the classic rap albums, East Coast and West Coast â€.. Dre's The Chronic, Big's Ready To Die, Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt, Ice Cube's Death Certificate, Snoop's Doggystyle, 2Pac's All Eyez On Me, every Kool G Rap record, and anything from NWA. He studied them carefully over the next five months. In December 2001, he rapped for the first time. "I mixed everybody's style into one. That's why some people feel that I sound like I'm from the East Coast even though I rap about the West Coast."

He also hopes the purpose of the graphic nature of The Documentary doesn't get twisted. "I'm telling my story. I'm out to please no one but myself. I'm not telling anybody to sell drugs or pick up guns. When I sold drugs it was because it was my last resort, because I had four sisters and an older brother and we were eating Cheerios on Thanksgiving. When I picked up a gun it was because my life was threatened. If you don't want to hear that; then don't listen. I'm not glorifying the life I lived because I wouldn't wish that on anybody. I'm just one human being raised in the 'hood who wanted nothing more than to get out."

His sole regret is that his grandmother--the only person who ever believed he could make it out--passed away before she could see his success not just in rap but in life: In summer 2003, Game became a father for the first time with son Harlem Caron Taylor. He says the best moment he's ever experienced was watching his son's mother give birth: "That was some next level shit. I've never been so happy. I wanted to bring him into the world so much that I was going, 'Come on!'"

There's more than anger in this next generation NWA. There's pride and even optimism for the future. "I gave all I could to this album, it's me. Enjoy it because it's the last time I'm living it. As humans we grow and the next album will be about how I'm living now--and I'm loving life."

The Game has only just begun.

Cycling is a form of exercise too, right? For those who doesn't like to exercise, let's opt for cycling. It's fun, though. But! Its double the fun if you cycle with your loved ones.

Cherish all those memories with you.
Good memories.
May they be with you always.
Hence, treasure your loved ones, before they're gone from your life.
YOU WILL ONLY FEEL THE THIRST WHEN THE RIVER RUNS DRY.

Just swallow the pain within,
Even though it hurts,
Accept it.

My all time favourite, Linkin Park; since year 2000.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Their new album - Minutes To Midnight

In an interview with Chester Bennington it is explained that the new album is a mix of punk, classic rock, and hip-hop beats. "Rick has brought more of a stripped down, classic-rock and hip-hop kind of feel."

"We were looking back at the things that we had done in the past... and I think we just figured that we had exhausted that sound. It was easy for us to replicate, it was easy for other bands to replicate, and we just needed to move on
," said Mike Shinoda.

"This time around, Mike Shinoda is singing a lot more. It may seem like he's not on the record, but he's doing a lot of the harmonies. He also sings a couple of songs alone. We're presenting ourselves in a different way."

This is their first album where Mike Shinoda sings lead vocals for a full length track ("In Between"), rather than rapping. It is also the first to contain guitar solos (particularly on "In Pieces" and "The Little Things Give You Away"). Unlike the two previous studio albums, Minutes to Midnight contains profanity and politically charged lyrics.

All sampling elements by Joe Hahn that existed in the previous two studio albums are completely absent, except on the songs "What I've Done", "Valentine's Day", "In Pieces", and "The Little Things Give You Away". Hahn contributes more with programming, electronica, and other elements to many of the songs in the album.

Mike Shinoda performs his trademark MC vocals on only two tracks, "Bleed It Out" and "Hands Held High". This is a significant decrease compared to previous albums. The rap vocals on the album are much closer styled to Mike Shinoda's side project Fort Minor than his traditional Linkin Park verses. Despite a decrease of Mike Shinoda as a main vocalist, he has two solo songs on the record. In addition to his rapping on "Hands Held High", he also provides the main vocals for "In Between", which features background vocals from Chester Bennington. He also sings solo on the bonus track "No Roads Left" in a much more aggressive rock style than on "In Between" with no backing vocals from Bennington.

Guitarist Brad Delson used the E-Bow heard on "No More Sorrow" originally when the band was piecing together "The Little Things Give You Away". The band decided not to use the effect for the solo in that song and instead ended up creating "No More Sorrow" out of the effect.

Rolling Stone said, "Rap metal is dead. Linkin Park are not." Rock Sound, giving the album 8/10 stars, praised the change of style and "tangible sense of growth and maturity," ending their review with, "Linkin Park have finally grown up." IGN rated it 7.4 out of 10, also calling it a "more mature sound".

Here's one of my favourite song from their new album.

No More Sorrow

Are you lost
In your lies
Do you tell yourself I don't realize

Your crusade's a disguise
Replace freedom with fear
You trade money for lives

I'm aware of what you've done

No no more sorrow
I've paid for your mistakes
Your time is borrowed
Your time has come to be replaced

I see pain
I see need
I see liars and thieves
Abuse power with greed

I had hope
I believed
But I'm beginning to think that I've been deceived

You will pay for what you've done

No no more sorrow
I've paid for your mistakes
Your time is borrowed
Your time has come to be replaced

Thieves and hypocrites
Thieves and hypocrites
Thieves and hypocrites

No no more sorrow
I've paid for your mistakes
Your time is borrowed
Your time has come to be replaced

No no more sorrow
I've paid for your mistakes
Your time is borrowed
Your time has come to be replaced

Your time has come to be replaced
Your time has come to be replaced
